As Prostějov does not have a public airport, you will need to fly into one of the nearby international airports: Brno, Prague, or Vienna. The closest airport is in Brno, approximately 50 km from Prostějov, and from there, you can take a car or train to your destination.
Prague Airport, Czech Republic (Václav Havel Airport) is the largest and busiest airport in the country, serving flights from all around the world. It is the most likely airport you'll land at. From Prague, Prostějov is 230 km away, which is about a 3-hour drive or 2 hours by train.
Brno Airport, Czech Republic, is the closest airport to Prostějov, located around 50 km away, just a 60-minute drive by car. It would be the best option for your arrival. However, as it’s a smaller airport, fewer international flights operate there, so landing in Brno is less likely. If you do land here, you can easily continue your journey to Prostějov by car or train.
Vienna Airport, Austria is located closer to Prostějov than Prague, at about a 1.5-2 hour car drive. While Vienna is not in the Czech Republic, it can be a good option, especially since it is an international hub. If you land in Vienna, you can take a car or train to Prostějov.
